Staying on the farm means living amidst peaceful nature.  Here our guests can enjoy various different sports such as trekking and mountain-biking.
L’Antica Sosta is a typical farm building made up of two structures in which each bedroom has a bathroom, heating, TV, kitchen and garden with deckchairs, table and chairs and car park.

The farm, which is run by the family, is about 20 hectares and has vineyards, olive groves and cereals, as well as breeding sheep and horses.  Guests are welcome to take part in farm activities like grape-harvesting and olive picking and also in the making of sheep milk cheese.
L’Antica Sosta is situated in a hilly part of the Tuscan Maremma.  In the early years of the 20th century it was used by wayfarers as a rest place where they could get their breath back as they went to and fro between the flat land near the sea and the hills or mountains.

These hills are vivid green in spring and golden yellow in summer and are dotted with vineyards, olive groves and oak or ash woods.  It is on these hills that our cows and sheep graze.

There are several Etruscan necropolis in this area.  Statonia, which is 5 km from the farm, is one of the most important. Others, 18 km away, are in Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana, Vulci and Tarquinia.  The Terme di Saturnia , a very important spa, is about ten minutes by car and Bolsena Lake, a wonderful volcanic lake surrounded by historically  important towns, is 40 km away.

At L’Antica Sosta we have created an environment where guests feel at home in the real sense of the word. There is an inviting restaurant where visitors can taste produce from the farm.  Guests can also  follow cooking courses and take part in traditional artisan activities.
